The team at Advanced Space is leading humanity back to the Moon and pioneering innovative solutions in the space industry. Based in Westminster Colorado, this incredible team is looking for a skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer.  Responsibilities include architecting cloud-based DevOps solutions, selecting appropriate toolsets, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes clusters. Responsibilities:

  • Administer AWS accounts, providing user and infrastructure support to Aerospace and Software engineers, following principles of least privileges, just in time permissions, and microsegmentation
  • Support devops, data, software engineers, and project managers with infrastructure creation following best practices for secure and stable cloud systems
  • Provide linux system administration on AWS systems
  • Plan and carry out routine upgrades of AWS systems, taking care to notify the company and plan appropriately to minimize downtime
  • Plan and carry out routine patching of AWS systems, taking care to notify the company and plan appropriately to minimize downtime
  • Assist in planning and execution of cloud security enhancement projects
  • Sandbox environments as needed for upgrades, patching, architecture tests, or architectural design
  • Monitor cloud systems, responding to alerts for security incidences
  • Implement disaster recovery plans for cloud resources
  • Follow principles of least privileges, just in time, and zero trust for cloud, user, and infrastructure, projects and tasks
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of engineers and professions across the company including: project managers, IT helpdesk, software, aerospace, devops, and business people

 

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in engineering or a related technical field or relevant experience in lieu of education
  • AWS certification
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS
  • 1+ years of experience with system administration
  • Experience working with AWS IAM, ec2, s3, vpc, security groups, CloudWatch.  Nice to have: Experience with EKS, documentdb
  • Comfortable with basic linux administration and able to learn any administration tasks they don't already know
  • An interest in implementing best practices
  • Comfortable running infrastructure automation and interest in creating it

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range – $80,620 - $ 118,594 based on role, employee experience, and location

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability to work in the Westminster, CO office 3-5 days/week.
  • Applicants must be a US Person (citizen or Green Card Holder/permanent resident, or protected individual
  • Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance
